Hi! My name is Brandy Posey ...

A Southern artist living in the Greater Atlanta area. I was born in Columbus, grew up in Ellerslie, and have lived in Georgia all my life.
In 2000, I became a student in Fine Arts at C.S.U. in Columbus, Ga. trained in life drawing and design. My dream was to create and sell my fine art since my childhood. Then I discovered digital art and after two years at C.S.U., I became interested in computer design and obtained a B.S.A. in graphic design. Unfortunately, the declining market made the graphic design dream a bit hard to reach. So, I went back to my roots and picked up painting and drawing once again.
My work consists mostly of landscapes and still life objects, but there are a few portraits and abstracts I have pursued in. I love rich color and contrast in my work. There may be a vibrant sunset behind a silhouette of mountains or abstracting colors complementing each other. I have a preference for mix media and will add texture to my paintings without losing the composition. I joined the North Gwinnett Arts Association in June of 2011 and have made some wonderful friends and creative individuals. Some of my favorite art movements are Impressionism, Realism and Art Nouveau.
I have such a creative soul. I also enjoy playing the guitar, reading, and DIY projects.
